Introduction
TO THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE NEVER BEEN, Burning Man is a festival of creativity, community and self-expression which takes place in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada every year. It has been described as many things, but my favourite is "Mad Max meets Woodstock".
To those of you who have been - especially my camp-mates at Vortile Whorled - this site and these photographs are for you.

Camp Vortile Whorled
Vortile Whorled, a theme camp, was located at 4pm and Earth, and was home to 15 or so brave souls who hailed from Seattle. The Quinine Quonset Hut was VW's major contribution to the community.

The Pyramobelisk of Ruth
Designed and built by "Captain" Craig Nelson, the Pyramobelisk was the largest mobile sculpture on the playa.
